I have a different take. Now the LGBTQ+ crowd (Q+ for short, there are just too many letters to keep track of) has made their claim. They are, in fact, now unquestionably, a religion, and as such, must be subject to all of the church/state restrictions and prohibitions that impact any other expressions of faith in the United States.
Their fealty is to The Adversary. Dennis Prager talked about this for years and put it in writing in his 2012 book Still The Best Hope ( why the world needs American values to triumph) when he described Leftist's ideologies as a secular religion.
He wrote "One example of the religious nature of Leftism was the term adopted by Hillary Clinton when she was First Lady - "the politics of meaning." The term was highly meaningful to the Left, but meaningless to conservatives. The reason is that conservatives do not look to government and politics for meaning. After the disgusting last supper portrayal, I refuse to watch the Olympics this year. I wish the best for our athletes, but want to see no more from France, which knowing and willingly allowed such an offensive display!

Today the world consist with these THEME ( Plague - Death, New - Genders, Antichrist, Covid - Death, Climate - Death, Heat- Death, Cold - Death), what is interesting everything is repeating itself, but in a different way, it reminds me of "Four Horsemen" the Apocalypse with very much the same " Plague, War, Famine, Death. What France showed around the world at the Olympics of such Perversity, and Ugliness is unbelievable there behavior is to boost their ego to elevate their own self worth it is a false sense of superiority, if any country accepting there apologies then they are not better in what we have seen, are we in a beginning of Sodom and Gomorrah where sexual perversion was prevalent, everything we have seen and heard here in this country it sounds like we are getting there.
Excellent way to look at how things could be if the demonic was not put in charge of event planning. When will we say enough is enough? I was never Olympic material but loved riding my own horses in barrel racing as well as jumping. Keep up the good work and enjoy your homesteading.
Same with me Jayne. Did all the gymkhana events and added jumping (with a borrowed saddle, would not allow bareback) to help earn high point. So very long ago. I may have train him, but talent was the horse’s not mine.
Yeah. Ever watch a really good roping horse. A really good one means the rider hardly has much of a throw to make. And then. they actually assist hogtieing the poor little guy.

Have always hated how the rules have been modified to what has seemed to be purposed to undercut US advantage in particular sports the notorious US/ussr basketball game serving as example. The final straw was the inclusion of professional athletes.
Not to forget - the Muslim people are also upset. They do consider Jesus as a great prophet. I read several reports on how they, too, took the whole scene as blasphemy

Some Jews folks confess Jesus as Messiach. All of the original Apostles were Jewish. Jesus Himself was Jewish with olive colored skin and normally spoke Aramaic in daily life.

Selflessness and a deep appreciation for the gifts bestowed upon us by our creator and those who came before us is what is needed to pull us out of the morass into which many seem to have fallen. The Olympic opening ceremony is just one example. We have to promote the principles and teachings of our God if we are to save ourselves from this evil.
Art is a reflection of culture. I went to Asheville (NC) to check out pottery and was dismayed at how edgy and disturbed it all was. I remember seeing elements of this movement back in college which has sadly now become main stream. The Paris ceremony is hardly surprising. Wasn’t there a similar thing for the CERN opening ceremony? Hopefully, we’ll move into something a lot healthier soon. I’m weary of the sick and twisted.

There was too much ambiguity in the 2024 opening of the games, too much debauchery that has nothing to do with world class athletic talent and performance, while the athletes themselves sleep on cardboard beds to discourage sexual encounters. Not much makes sense in this crazy world we live in.
