Some comments on food allergy. The immune system was in my day designated Th1, Th2 and Th3, Th3 being the immunology of the gut and by far the least studied. Babies once only consumed mothers milk and thus their developing immune system was exposed to virtually all elements of moms diet. In this way they acquired immuno knowledge of the diatary environment they were to live in. Then along came formula and that pathway to developing food tolerance was shut down. And then all these immunizations began conflicting an immature immunity. So food allergies hardly seem unlikely to me given that scenario.
