He loves America. In 2016 I changed from an Independent to a Republican, so I could vote in the primaries for President Trump/. I asked for guidance...and was guided to vote for him. I was not disappointed. He did the best he could with all the vipers that he faced in Washington, D.C.

An elderly friend of mine is afraid that Pres Trump is going to "get rid" of Social Security. I tell him that these Government Efficiency measures Trump/Elon are taking will leave more of our tax money for Social Security instead of sending it to other places, but it doesn't seem to help. I don't like operation warp speed type of things particularly not with regard to mRNA vaccines. I don't know much about Larry Ellison but I do know people I respect don't really like him much. Maybe I am wrong and I hope someone will tell me, it just seems to be misleading to indicate Trump used taxpayer money for the Stargate infrastructure startup project. What I heard, and again maybe I'm wrong and if so please let me know, but it was just the three mega-rich businessmen initially that made their hundred billion dollar investment with commitment for it to grow to 500 billion. Related story - I met with an oncologist yesterday for a potential problem of my own and a thought occurred to me that I'd rather have chemo than an mRNA vaccine, fortunately this is an "immunotherapy type" of MD and I don't have any symptoms that call for chemo or anything. So for now, all is good. Maybe one day though, after Robert Kennedy is overseeing our health department, things like cures for cancer even mRNA vaccines can be studied with the gold standard method of studies. no warp speed... and maybe something really good can come out of AI. I personally am a Luddite, but I also try to be hopeful... maybe if we all participate in ensuring our unalienable rights we could have proper things in place for AI to only support humanity, health happiness and prosperity.

With that said, like James, I personally don't feel we can ever totally let down our guard or be 100% guaranteed of government officials (and the underworld they may do business with) doing what is "best for the country" in our own minds. We get bombarded with so much "information" these days and who can know, down the road, what will be. We've each seen news that may rile or cause consternation within us. We all have issues and reformations to care about. I feel most here are seeking the best, most honest truth possible, but still we must keep vigilant.
I personally want huge reform, as Barb does, on health. My #1 priority right now.
