They also cause all kinds of regulatory paperwork for my AVOCADO ranch operation. Can you imagine when they understand that it is not just the meat they are going against? It is unconscionable how much time I must spend documenting what I grow, where I grow them, how much runoff occurs, how much nitrogen is in my pile of mulch, etc. Then I have two very young biologists who literally pop up from under my bridge, deep on my private property, and smile at me having walked up my creek measuring pools and looking for trout! All food is at risk, even the favorite foods of these very people.

So, Carolyn, ask your local SHERIFF to escort those TRESPASSERS OFF (your) private property. Without question, he has the power to do that . Period.

Alas, this is California. The taxpayers built the bridge 8 years ago and they have the right to check the growth of the native plants they planted in the banks for 15 years. It was an $850k bridge, payed for by all of you (sorry) so some trout could get a mile farther up our creek. Fish and Wildlife takes their rights seriously. My dog let them know they needed to leave, I cannot for another 7 years.

SO sorry to know your circumstances.

I bailed from my birth state (CA) in1977 - when the writing was on the Communist wall - even back then.

I found out a while back that not all elected sheriffs are given a broad mandate. I wish I had saved the link that showed some state counties that limited the functions of their sheriffs. Sad.

That would be in the Blue (Communist) counties in Blue (Communist) states. No?

Indeed.

The real joker in the "red state v blue states" is that up until the 1970s, the LONG time "color" identification of the Democratic and Republican political parties was the EXACT opposite: Blue states were Republican and DemoCommie states Red....and it had been so since the 1880s!

How and why was that switcheroo made and by whom? It was made by CBS and NBC during a presidential race ( I believe ) to CONFUSE the American voters as (politically), the color RED had LONG been the color of COMMUNIST FLAGS and other identifications of the looney Left such as the U.S.S.R., Communist China, N. Korea, Cuba, etc., etc.

I do not recall ANY pushback on the red/blue switch by Republicans - via the party or individually.... so it is now firmly established that BLUE is the color of "American" Communists; and RED the Republicans patriots.

To date, "CFR" member - Warren Beatty - has not made a sequel to his Commie propaganda movie - "REDS" - updated as a "BLUES".

In Texas sheriffs have bunches of power. Don’t know if he was blowing smoke but had a deputy tell me a sheriff can literally take over control of a town in his jurisdiction.

Expand full comment

I want to believe that. They can stop FBI agents from harassing people or even setting foot in their jurisdiction, not follow unconstitutional gun laws, etc. No wonder blue counties restrict their activities.

They found replace insurance although 4x the rate. You see all the bird flu problems that are being amplified and you wonder if the insurance guys think better to get out. Over the years they make it harder to slaughter and butcher, hay costs are up 3-4x since 2019. They don’t want small farms. Another power grab by this administration. Concentrate and centralize control of a major piece of where we get our food from all to disconnected bureaucrats in Washington DC. You don’t even need to question that money is rolling into DC from the big meat processors. When we are finally rid of this thug in the White House and tear down all of these unelected SS style police agencies there has to be safeties built into the system. The people that push these ridiculous lawsuits and tyrannical rules must personally pay legal fees and compensatory damages to the plaintiff seeking relief from these tyrants. Imagine if Jack the tyrant Smith had to personally pay Trump for all legal fees and his loss of time when this bogus case gets overturned in the Supreme Court. We wouldn’t have these corrupt political cases destroying our country. Nor would we have these bureaucrats overreaching using endless taxpayer dollars to ruin small America businesses. Taking away their immunity and making them personally pay is a good first step to curb this BS. Minimum jail sentences of let’s say 10 years would be a good second step. J.Goodrich
