Levy was much more interested in CRISPR technology whereas Raoult was more interested in researching re-purposed drugs. It also had to do with the future status of the IHU (University Hospital Institute) & Levy's position as CEO of Inserm (French Institute of Health & Medical Research). Interestingly, Levy was also involved in the launch of the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The over-lapping corruption at the top in France is breathtaking in its scope.
