Limiting "reach" is EXACTLY the same as proscibing speech.

If you say to someone: "here is a closed room with sound-proof walls and you can say anything and everything you want here", this is a violation of freedom of speech.

This involves a fundamental re-definition of what is freedom of speech. Free Speech is a tango. It involves a speaker and an audience. If you eliminate/reduce the audience, you have the deafening sound of one hand clapping.

This should be 101-stuff for any principled legal mind.

The legal argument will be that the Constitution guarantees freedom of speech, not freedom of listening.

But they are removing the ability for potential listeners to hear the speech. Their rights are being violated as well. They don't have to listen and can choose not to listen, but not being allowed to listen is a First Amendment violation.

absolutely and I have tweeted to Elon Musk your exact sentiments. But I'll guess he's trying to save his investment in X and advertisers only seem to want to court those who lack critical thinking skills.

I was recently contacted by a follower at X and was told my tweets are not being seen. If X or any platform intends to limit a participants reach, they should have the decency to at least notify that person and provide a reason why.

You have freedom to speak, but you do not have a right to be heard. However, I as a potential listener should be the one who makes the choice of whether or not to listen. The problem is that someone in the middle is making that decision on my behalf.

If someone sends me a letter, I should get to choose whether or not to open it and read it. No one should be allowed to intercept it and withhold it from me. I may choose to activate a spam filter, but I still get to choose whether I look at the spam.

It is an astute observation on the censors' parts to realize they do not need to control what is said or not said, they only need to control what can be heard by those who may want to listen.

Good point. It's a corollary to that point that the only thing that matters in elections is who is counting the votes.

Agreed, Brent. Freedom of speech is already balanced by the freedom to ignore. At least for now and until we’re all dragged into struggle sessions.

This applies to social media as well. Why are the powers that shouldn't be so afraid of people conversing and sharing ideas? Food for thought.

To get to the bottom line on this topic...I have experienced first hand X. As a 74 year old female with extensive corporate executive roles, I can sniff out like a trained dog “who is who” and know what kind of BS they have been trained to present to the “public”. They are sought out for this role, psychologically assessed and then groomed. Linda is well groomed but does have an Achilles heel. Lack of self-confidence. She is in a “face the public direct role”. She has flubbed a few times. There is much bravado there. She has substantive business acumen and background but is a novice in human behavior as the majority of us here are well versed in. She is the conditioned, brainwashed shill with low self esteem. She’s got the lingo. That’s about it. Apologies if my comments aren’t completely addressing Bob Malone’s terrific content. It’s what I have to say in the moment. Let’s roam where the buffalo room while we can. In freedom, always.

She has definitely been groomed.

The 5th Circuit decision shows what many already knew--the judiciary is as corrupt as the 2 other branches. Instead of affirming the lower court’s decision, it parsed in favor of government censorship. Liberty dies to thunderous applause.

Maybe people do listen and don’t understand the consequences of elections. Like the border and all the problems that have been created. April 8th, 2021 Joe Biden said, there is no amendment, no amendment to the constitution that is absolute. Doesn’t it seem the protections given to big pharma and the protections given to big social media mirror each other? I didn’t know that the first amendment’s freedom of speech had exceptions. I can honestly say, though I new this was coming years ago, I’m still surprised the way both political parties have allowed this to be ushered in with barely any resistance. Many people won’t realize what they had, until it’s gone. J.Goodrich

Nearly no resistance - when actually these companies have been helped from the very being by the Feds. It was always their plan to use them just like they have from the beginning when they gave airwaves to new TV stations for free with the requirement they must air the ‘news’ (i.e., the government’s propaganda) and cable to provide free access to local channels to get the ‘news’; and newspapers to run the appropriate news or be throttled by the FCC’s rules on TV/Radio/Cable/Newspaper broadcasting ownership by region to stop monopolies (all such rules were jettisoned by Obama’s admin). The Commerce Dept gave the TV stations $8 billion in 2013 to take away spectrum THEY NEVER USED so the Feds could build FirstNet as a national 911 backbone which now has every election tabulator attached to the wireless network because, you know, election equipment is national security infrastructure.

So, as you can see, I’m sort of pissed.

Having spent 28 years in private and 9 in public communications regulations I've watch this spiral out of control. Our beloved FDR started it all with the FCC who had control of all licensing and rulemaking for those licenses (TV, Cable (satellite), radio, wireless). What could possibly go wrong. Under Obama he wanted just a few corporations to do his bidding so his FTC and FCC no longer used their rules to stop monopolies but rather encourage buyouts and takeovers. That is why all media and wireless are owned by just a handful of corporation with crossover between the two groups. This is also true in all Western countries. And every single corporation is own by BlackRock, Vanguard and StateStreet Corp. Everyone on this and other SS must spend the time to watch this hour video. https://rumble.com/vmyx1n-monopoly-who-owns-the-world-documentary-by-tim-gielen.html

Individuals have chosen to invest in index funds via their employer sponsored 401k plan as well as personal saving outside of their company plans. Approximately 85% of 401k plan participants take the default option of target date funds. Target date funds are a mix of index equity funds like the S&P 500 and Index bond funds. When you invest your money in any fund or ETF you are delegating the voting of your shares to the fund sponsor, the largest are BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street, and Fidelity. These companies don't own the companies in your fund portfolio, you do, but since they control the vote, they can and do control policy. If you are mindful, you can index yourself. I created the SuperCap25 strategy over a decade ago that historically has had a .97% correlation to the S&P 500 but the investor retains the voting rights on their companies. Instead of blaming the Fund sponsors, I suggest taking the control and responsibility of the voting your investments.

Louis, I am glad you had the wherewithal to do that. Maybe people on this SS will put the money in yours! I put a lump sum of my 401k in a non-interest-bearing Schwab account so I could draw out my annual RMD without affecting my annuity (which has the rest of my former 401k). It has always paid a high interest rate. I have not invested in the stock market for 15 years. The owners of the indexes are ruining the value of those companies for shareholder and it won’t be a pretty picture down the road. The union participants are going to find out they are penniless at some point. I am of the mind that the almost zero interest rate for all these years has helped bankrupt the middle/lower class (I’m one) because they could never save past inflation. CD rates are up now and I’m checking them out.

We now see 5 G war, with bio-weapons (COVID and more), Mind War, and Treason. Sadly, most in power have betrayed us -- they call it "Executive Capture" instead of "corruption." Our Elections have been stolen. Directed Energy Weapons are now used against our citizens.

We are deprived of due process and imprisoned for "thought crimes." J6 was only the beginning. Election 2024 is probably America's last chance to stay free.

Our new book’s cover reflects the new type of “Unrestricted War” with China, the New World Order, and the Marxist Left (the uni-party) as deadly enemies. It’s not a war with kinetic weapons, but one of treason, corruption, and betrayal. We are losing.

Learned a lot from the article and comments. The word “safety” is used 14x with a few “healthier” so corporations are praying on people’s fear. I thought it was supposed to be Truth in advertising, not safety? Digital safety used to mean safe from security hacks etc, not for words and thoughts? It’s infuriating and perhaps dovetails with the foment of new variant(s) ? Ever since 2020 “safety” appears to be the premium word to keep people hypnotized and controlled.

Thank you for all your input on this topic in the last few days. Glad to finally get the click and censorship via EU imposed sources. Never a user of the big guys social media. Did Parlor until they killed it.

The 5th Circuit decision is a disappointment to me. I don't think leaving any Gov opportunities to impact are justified. We need to have our approach in order, EU impact not withstanding. Hoping the case will be appealed ASP. (And we get an ethical sane ruling, as initially set out)

We've been watching the fearporn ramping up slowly (frog fear not to cause escapes). I'm seeing more decorative masks at the grocery. Today's feed did include there has been a major increase.... Then just now I see an ET report of a retrenchment. Natural immunity and/or previous boosters may help address the threat. In any case boosters are coming that will/should address the new threats. Just what proofs are they offering to validate their assertions?

It doesn't end and will certainly be increasing. Predators (creatures and humans) escalate their assaults when cornered and threatened. We clearly need to be aware and ready to respond in productive ways.

You are appreciated! Take care! Have a good Sunday! Bestest Always!
