No matter how needed this beginning of consolidations are, there will be the same uproar and negative press and more clutching of pearls. The focus of so many reports of these changes are inaccurate and misleading. I can hardly stand to listen to any of the news reports and yet I must know what is being reported that the majority, still, listen to and believe. Small steps leading to big changes! HOORAY!

Oh - the press is going to sh*t their pants!

Dr./ I just can't help it; I love it when you talk dirty.

No matter how much the left protests it is necessary and I hope Trump and Kennedy can grit their teeth and mow through the protests.

I am sorry for those conscientious workers who are displaced and I hope they find other suitable work.

It is fitting that Trump is overhauling the government on the 250th anniversary of the victory of the war of independence. I think Trump will earn a prime spot amongst the greatest American presidents.

Or earn the prime spot amongst the worst American Presidents. The eternal optimist has a place in this history charade. Remember we are in an upside down world still and it can take decades for the truth to reveal itself; if ever.

Exactly. Well stated.

Unbelievably good news. Now all Kennedy has to do is bring the pharmaceutical industry and the medical schools to heel. Then identify the poison food industries are spiking our food with and stop them from doing it. Then identify farming/ranching practices that are healthy and sustainable and roll out a plan for how these practices can be implemented without causing food shortages or bankrupting agriculture producers. Something has to be done about the childhood vaccine schedule as well.

Our HHS secretary has his work cut out for him. I’m awfully glad we have him on board. I pray for Trump and all of his team often. God bless and guide each of them as they attempt to destroy the evil known as the “deep state”.

First the easy less controversial stuff. Kennedy and Trump have to work up to the heavy lifting. You are right, Trump needs to deal with big pharma and I am sure he is already working towards that unseen. The key is keeping Kennedy and Trump alive to see the whole plan through.

Yep. We have to get good results in the mid-term so all of the executive orders can be established in law and Trump has a solid Senate and Congress behind him. Then we need Vance to get two terms.

Yep. Daunting To Do list! But here we are...

I love that they’re trimming back the workforce and saving money. Id love even more if they’d take some of that cash and do an honest in-depth study on the ridiculous schedule for childhood vaccines. Is the new HHS Secretary ever going to try to link the explosion in autism in our children with this out of control childhood vaccine schedule, the increase in cases are dumbfounding. I think if we are too make America healthy again it has to start with babies and children. I wish the government and big pharma would stop sacrificing generations of American kids to fill their dirty pockets full of our money. J.Goodrich

I agree James. Right now there are 3 covid vaccines on each child's schedule, while some states are outlawing the vaccine. I DO NOT WANT MY GRANDSON TO HAVE ANY OF THEM.

He was forced into the Hep B in the hospital, but his parents have said no on others. I know that RFK, Jr cannot do everything in two months, but I pray that this vaccine schedule be revamped to only include those necessary, and only then if they pass the sniff test on how they were created and vetted.

I agree Deanna, these vaccines, especially these mRNA shots need to be clearly labeled what’s in them. I’m not sure but at least once a year they should test these vaccine and make sure they’re clean, especially for kids!!

I do not want to limit the vaccine changes to the childhood schedule. Every vaccinated person is at risk. I'd like to see each vaccine reevaluated for safety and effectiveness.

"Strengthening the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC): the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), responsible for national disaster and public health emergency response, will transfer to the CDC, reinforcing its core mission to protect Americans from health threats."

Uh-oh. Sternly worded letter from Dr. Not a Dr. Tedros, incoming. All that sovereignty-dissolving treaty work for nothing. WOMP-womp.

Thank you for keeping us informed!

This is (mostly) what we voted for!

I'm on board with all of it, except I will reserve judgement on the CDC section, until I see where it goes. I am concerned about any "Preparedness and Response" initiatives, and wish to see many pieces of medical-tyranny-enabling legislation 100% repealed, such as the 1986 act that immunized vaccine-makers from any liability for their products, the PREP Act, and more.

Still, this shift to focusing on ending the chronic disease epidemic is a great start.

Would like to see CDC yanked out of HHS and back into Public Health. And strictly limited to identifying and tracking contagious disease...cooperating with state public health when needed.

Yes! Working with states, which can decide what's right for their citizens. Great call.

That was what they used to do. Being pulled into HHS a bad move.

Thank you for your cutting edge reporting -- just one of many hats you wear.

Somewhat off-but-tangential-topic: We hear about all the deaths in the senior community because of (take your pick) deaths due to the virus, deaths due to the vaccines, deaths due to delayed medical procedures/tests because of lock-down policies, etc. My question is this. If there were all these deaths (and continuing excess deaths), wouldn't that impact the amount of funds available to Social Security and Medicare, and potentially alleviate the coming insolvency of those programs? I have read NOTHING on this. Am I missing something?

Now an anecdote that may partially answer my Medicare-part question above. There have been a few articles in The Wall Street Journal about real trouble in the Medicare Advantage world because of steeply increasing claims experience. I am a health insurance broker in MN, and about a third of my business is Medicare, and most of that is Medicare Advantage. Yesterday I received an email from one of the four carriers that I write for, namely UCare. They informed us brokers that they will no longer pay commissions on any of their Medicare Advantage products that become effective July 1st or thereafter, because of "unprecedented financial pressures". Upon an inquiry from me, their Director refused to say what those unprecedented financial pressures were. After my follow-up inquiry, he told me that a nonresponse is a response. Very interesting.

In regard to all the deaths in the senior community, I watched a very interesting video interview today of Gardiner Harris by Sarah Westall. Gardiner Harris has just released a book titled, "No More Tears" - The Dark Secrets of Johnson & Johnson. In the interview, he made an interesting comment about how so many of the patients in nursing homes are given a psychiatric diagnosis & many are medicated with anti-psychotic drugs such as Risperdal, which increases their susceptibility to respiratory infections. This trend may have indirectly led to the excessive deaths from covid. It is a very worthwhile interview titled, " Millions & Millions Have Died" - Hidden Crimes of Big Pharma. You should have no trouble finding it.

I'm wondering if this may be a canary in the coal mine.

ddc, so one effect of omitting commissions would be to steer people away from Med Advantage, right? Also, that Director should not get away with refusing to explain. Maybe we could mount a widely publicized write-in question campaign to him.

Expand full comment

Well, one effect will be less agents (such as myself) writing policies for UCare, and trust in that organization -- for brokers -- is going to take a real hit. I don't know about a write-in campaign, but I am going to contact the St. Paul Pioneer Press about the issue and see if they're willing to investigate and report on it.

Hmm. I certainly would NOT take "no response is a response". Not interesting, criminal. We here in CO have had numerous situations reported about insurance companies doing their paying customers dirty, plus then the terrible situation with the young man gunning down the head of UnitedHealth.

This is off topic a bit but I find it so interesting. Musk is giving away more of his EARNED income to have people sign a petition opposing Activist Judges. He just awarded the 1st million. There are many comments on his X page denouncing him and saying he's trying to buy elections. It's comical, but not. He's freely giving his money to better our system while these judges (and others) are on the take BIG TIME. Why do so many just look at the surface of a situation/person and not dig down into the muck within? A constant mystery for me.

The Deep State is losing their hold on America, along with their money laundering schemes, and they are livid!

BUT…American Patriots across this nation are celebrating!

Don’t become complacent. They will fight hard to hold onto their power, at any cost.

Two there that really ring my chimes are turning CDC back into the germ fighting org it was designed to be and elimination of redundancy...something I have complained about forever

It’s a start, but more severe cuts are needed and I missed any mention of getting royalties and pharma funding out 🤷‍♂️

Wow! These may seem insignificant reorgs but they aren’t. Moving SAMHSA into AHA gives I greater reach, and provides an opportunity for this agency to get to root causes of mental health and substance use disorders. And I did not have the merging of ASPE and AHRQ on my bingo card. Both relatively small agencies so the merger may provide efficiencies, as well as provide AHRQ a much needed realignment toward health policy.

It’s a modest beginning. Long journeys starting with single steps and such.

There'll be all kinds of spin from mainstream media trying to prove that making America healthy again is a dark, subversive and very dangerous plot, and streamlining the departments is an outrageous insult to our democracy, but it's all about common sense. If you don't exercise and eat healthy, you get fat and sick. We've finally got some muscle in our current administration, and I couldn't be happier to see it. Go, RFK Jr.! MAHA!!!!

I love this (so far). Cutting and combining each department’s IT, Procurement, etc. is wisdom from above. That is a great move. No independent atoms!
