There are right now 35-36 rinos in the Texas House that have to be replaced and never will if the voters never made to recognize their rino behavior. The Rep. Exec. Comm. could take that R away from them but won't so maybe they need to be replaced by a governing body in sync with the majority of the party
Another strategy might be to whip up commitment to participate in the primary. Then in the primaries pull out significant tells all voting records and other evidences candidates are Rhinos and should.be counted on to kill beneficial legislation. Granted it takes all digging down into the weeds.
Agree about primaries. To me they are the real election. Problem is these 35-36 rinos who just shut down conservatives...again...were listed by name in sources like the Texas Minute but are not called out in the media sources used by most voters. So their perfidy remains unseen by their electorate. And so will be reelected. They were threatened with losing accreditation if they did what they in fact did but still have those Rs. Removing those Rs is the only solution I can see
Many years ago, I tried to get a candidate to go through the voting record of the incumben and use the bad legislative votes as part of his campaign. He didnt and he lost. The voting record was rich with why not examples.
All to say - was this candidate likely to have been an improvement?
