I know everyone, including most of my friends and family, feels that we are on the road back but, as I hung in, listening to Trump's acceptance speech, watching as everyone but Biden and Kamaltoes applauded, I realized that we are too far gone. I can cling to hope that Trump will accomplish some of the things he is promising, but I still wonder if he truly knows who to trust. I guess we will see. We need Divine Intervention or we are not going to make it.

Bret Weinstein said something similar a couple of years ago; I'm paraphrasing it, but it was something to the effect that it's not clear that the Republic can be put back on track.
Historically speaking I can't point to a single country or governed people that has managed to remain as it began. It usually crumbles and decays and that is because the biggest problem with humanity is always humans.
While I think it's clear that the Founding Fathers were brilliant men, I think Ben Franklin's line, "A republic, if you can keep it" makes it clear that the blueprint that they put together for us requires a population of people that could manage their own lives.
I'm not convinced that what worked for the northern European farmers (primarily British Anglicans and German Lutherans who, by dint of being farmers, were self-reliant) can work today; urbanization has sharply reduced the role of the American male, who can simply call 911 in the face of any danger. However, I do think this election gives us a fighting chance.
I think we have been given a bit more time. How long is that? Can't begin to guess. There have been some interesting upsets globally that might give us enough time for some old geezers to pass taking their One World Gov ideology with them. Again, we will see..
As for our once self reliant independent population, we have been coddled and enabled and dumbed down for decades. Education is a joke now. I saw a headline this morning that claimed that Washington State University is offering queer pole dance classes. Which sort of makes my point.
The problem is man’s hunger for power, control and dominance over that which is not his. Love and human kindness are not material possessions to own and ownership of everything is what drives them.
I think power hunger is rooted in god complex. Those who are determined to rule over others need to feel like they are gods. Pretty sure I know where that comes from.
Hence the resolve for continued prayer and whatever we can fast from, amongst the Lou Engles bunch… (remember the Million Women gathering on the Day of Atonement at the Washington Mall in DC? He’s smart and by comparison we’re the sheep: dim-witted and helpless. Just follow the Good Shepherd. Then all these ghastly shenanigans we see can’t disturb our peace. Trust Him and obey Him.
