You're way too kind. I'm a life-long voracious reader and don't remember when I started appreciating poetry, but have also been writing it here and there since I was knee-high. When I discovered blank verse around the Beat era, it really opened up a vast world as it took a whole bunch of the sing-song out of it.
Thank you for the great link. Do you know Kipling's "If"?
never had seen / read this. Fantastic poem. . . for someone who does not "do" them.
Also, voracious reader. Since retirement in 2013 can finally read all the many classics I never could in college or thereafter having a family etc. Spend hours reading every day, when I can. I have piles of books sitting around waiting on . . . me.
Really a great reading of E Guest's poem. I sent it out to others. Your good suggestion expands outwardly from your light. . .
and I do not "do" poems!
