Allowing individual freedom nullifies the overall effort of satisfying the whole at the cost of individual freedom causing it to freefall into chaos. But when the necessary degree of ruthlessness takes control, it will inevitably morph into a dictatorship.
And that makes it a perfect analogy to what we experienced from big med the last 3yrs. As it has moved into a more socialized aspect, it has failed miserably because there was too much free choice involved. It has had to evolve the required thuggery using Medicare/Medicaid as its laboratory. Covid gave the opportunity it needed to go whole hog and in the process demonstrated the degree of insensitivity we can expect from big med and the graduates of all the woke med schools here on out. Not a pretty picture.
