After reading your take on 'plant based' diets I realize our definition of plant based might be different. We eat fresh, organic foods with very little processing , some fish (not farm raised) and very little red meat. No seed oils are used after lots of reading of labels and letting go of 'favorite' foods for more pure and healthy ones. Most people eating red meat and pork don't look at the source and the preservatives (nitrites and nitrates) used in packaged meats. Fruits, vegetables, some grains, beans and reverse osmosis water, no seed oils and variety is our course at this time. Less plastic, etc. This has been a long 'culling' to use a favorite word. Only someone committed to being healthy in preparation for death will take the time, energy and cost to refine this life experience. So starting with the basics in removing harmful ingredients is a start, since very few want to do it on their own. Sad, but true.
