Thank you so much for this! I am happy to hear that in America organic food is becoming more and more popular. And I am pretty sure RFKjr as your new Health Secretary will push this which makes me even happier! I this context I am lucky to live in Austria. I am totally used to buying and eating organic food from my teenage years on (more than 30 years back). And, in the meantime, I am used to recognize what is real organic food, because not everything marked as organic is organic. In Austria, similar to Italy, we have a very high standard and strict control for what is organic food, based on national regulations. The EU standard for organic food is not that high, why I prioritize Austrian or Italian and then Spanish organic food before e.g. German organic food, although Germany is very near which is important because I buy only seasonal organic food which did not travel too long to make sure that it is as fresh and as rich as possible. I remember that you mentioned that your "diet" includes meat. Especially when you eat meat it is crucial that this meat is organic meat with as little (industrial) processing as possible in order to keep the meat nutritious. We have the saying that we eat meat only from "happy cows" (or chicken etc). I feel that the most organic food made with love might be the own grown food. So, whatever is possible, I can only recommend getting involved and growing something at home, be it in a small or large garden, in a pot on your balcony, terrace or windowsill. Gardening not only provides you with healthy food, but also increases your general well-being. And for this, please already use organic seeds! Happy gardening/farming and bon appétit!
