I love this piece. It describes beautifully what science is and should be, and what it shouldn’t be. You have a modesty and humility that all scientists should have.
THEY have hijacked Science, and have perverted it from ‘honest questioning in the hopes gaining insight into Nature’ to ‘dishonest assertions in the hopes of gaining control over a trusting public.’ THEY wear suits and ties instead of generalissimo uniforms and berets. THEY use (false) information instead of lead as bullets in THEIR ‘quick and devastating take downs’ of formerly well-respected experts who honestly question or dissent. Science has always provided to me (and perhaps others) a means to better understand God. What THEY have done is twist it into a cult promoting, dare I write, Evil.

Unfortunately common sense, for many doctors and scientists, goes out the window when the filthy lucre is a factor in medical practice or scientific research. Our academic institutions were at one time, to an extent in our days(we're age peers), bastions of intellectualism, pursuing science for the sake of science and the betterment of humanity. Now every graduate student is angling for a payday. The corruption of morals is the problem, the corruption of science is along for the ride. I could tell a long yarn how as a young veterinarian I realized, through the review of the science, that a good number of the vaccines we used were serving no real purpose. I'm not an antivaxxer. There are very useful vaccines. Publicly challenging, even the most useless of vaccines, like Equine Influenza Vaccine or Strangles Vaccine, brought professional and public ridicule. Why? Every shot was dollars and it served those dollars all the way upstream to the "Scientists". Common sense was gone.
"The Science" seems to assume everyone is the same, and has the same risk as the averaged statistics. That's not likely. 99% + are unaffected by the virus, and by the vax. A competent medical industrial complex would have long since determined who is at risk, and why, and advised them how to correct their defects. Stampeding everyone to live in fear of outcomes for which most have little risk, is vile. It's fairly clear to many what they're doing, and to a few, why they're doing it. Evidence is accumulating. When enough is gathered, and enough learn about it, retribution will be severe. The more important question is how the medical system, and the media, and the institutions of government, will restore public confidence.
With respect to Covid, the Pharma/Med/Government complex has turned science on its head with such positions as: natural immunity is more temporary and less effective than vaccinated immunity; the asymptomatic can drive the pandemic; masks are effective in preventing transmission of aerosol borne respiratory virus; lockdowns are an effective means of dealing with this type of virus; and, the burden of proof (both for safety and efficacy) should be on those challenging the vaccines rather than on the vaccine proponents. Power and profit have replaced science and a new version of Lysenkoism has been born.

Instead we have Trusted News Initiative protecting those with the hubris to claim perfect knowledge and control over Nature by destroying any evidence of their failings. Bill Gates cabal has done this for gmo foods for decades; by creating networks of "official" regulatory and news sources they have eliminated everything from safety testing to debate.
It was no small fear to co-opt the global food supply and engage in a population wide feeding trial based on nothing more than assurances from toxic profiteers with a history of scientific fraud. Who would swallow anything based on nothing more than Monsanto believes?
FDA pulled this in 2014 to solve that problem. Solution to bad news is to erase it.
Any word on the usefulness of therapeutics for omicron such as Ivermectin, Fluvoxamin? Apparently most monoclonal antibodies except for possibly Sotrovimab (which of course is being restricted) are not that effective for it. But with the reduced severity, why even waste a monoclonal antibody dose?
Another question is how long does it take after infection to know whether one has Omicron or Delta in order to choose the right course of treatment. I.e., should one take NyQuil for Omicron since it's like a cold? Of course none of our public health officials will talk about that since the narrative is that no early treatment is possible for Covid other than pills from their big pharma pals that will cost hundreds of dollars.
