I think it was another great poet who wrote:

Green Acres is the place to be.

Farm living is the life for me.

Land, spreading out so far and wide!

Keep Manhattan and give me Merry Yuletide.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Double ditto! And for those who would like to hear the ditty, here's the recording (TV Land): https://youtu.be/umS3XM3xAPk?si=vmE0I5n6eofo4rUC

I used to ride my bike to school to that song in my head, peddling madly to keep the cadence.

Mr. Haney is my hero.

Arnold Ziffel would be proud of you, James.

Love to see a great man on a great horse!

You included this twice, so I will do it thrice:

"Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:

God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;

The Wrong shall fail,

The Right prevail,

With peace on earth, good-will to men."

To paraphrase something I heard often in childhood: "From Wadsworth's mouth to God's ears." May right truly prevail -- and SOON, please.

The sooner, the better, for what it's worth.

The roasts are in the oven

Eight grandkids are on the way

We are forever thankful for yet another day

We see the dark clouds forming

But please, Lord, bring us peace, we pray.

Thanks for this beautiful reminder! Merry Christmas to all of you!

Longfellow's poem was made into a feature film last Christmas by Sight and Sound in Lancaster, PA, not far from our home. Excellent production.

As I look out the window with the rain drops falling gently, and the squirrels getting a special treat of peanuts (yes, those buggers!) I look into my heart and find peace that surpasses all. Not an easy thing to do with all the turmoil, and yet it is the best gift for all, to broadcast peace to the world. Glad to see you out with your beautiful stallion. Wishing us all the best, with the ability to envision peace and joy in all hearts. ( It looks like two animals in the background of your picture - bears?)

We love our squirrels too even tho one got under the car’s hood and chewed up a wiring harness

OMG Michael! We had the very same thing happen a number of years ago. Silly squirrels!!

Oh wow! Talk about unpleasant surprises with your inspired forgiveness. They are very fortunate.

I thought the same looks like two black bears.

I see them too! Are those real?!

Highly unusual. Horses, although not as good as dogs and cats, have a keen sense of smell and excellent long distance vision, especially for movement. If bears were that close to any of my horses there would be instance distance put between.....

I hope 'doc answers that questions!

I saved the photo, honed in on the figures that seem several hundred feet behind Jade and Doc. The figures are black bears. One is a cub, the other much larger mama bear. I live about 20 miles south of Madison in a suburban neighborhood near Charlottesville and we see bear in our neighborhood quite often. They probably have a lot more in Madison County where the Malone’s live. He likely backs up to Shenandoah National Park so plenty of black bear would be in his neck of the woods.

Yes, I hope so as I’m curious or if they are just life-size figurines. Maybe they are just used to being that close to bears 🤷‍♀️

Merry Christmas to you and all those you love. I follow signs in my life and I think that 2024 is going to be a really tough one, but those things that could take us down will be lessened by you and others like you who have fought tirelessly to wake the world up. I think that 2024 will slap people so hard that they will awaken..... for some not in time. But you in the wide awake world have paved a way forward by setting up all so many alternate places for us to move over into and follow we will.

Merry Christmas to all. Now i understand how Dr. Malone survives all the evil he has fought against. Its God deep in his heart. A true wife and a stallion that sets his mine straight every time he is with him.

What is it about certain songs, Christmas Hymns, that evoke deep seated memories? Such as this one: all I have to do is SEE the first line and the melody springs forth.

Here in the frosty north, we’ve been treated to rare cloudless days free of typical inversions when high pressure sets in - worthy of celebration itself after the ones for the Christ Child.

For myself, Christmas is fairly quiet and low key as son has moved on and married a few states away: but, I look forward to the day when I’m treated to the interruption of a quiet morning by peels of excitement from children (Lord Willing) discovering toys and treats (and missing batteries?).

Peace and Blessings, Y’all

I have great confidence that an age of light and enlightenment is just dawning, and these so called dark incidences on the world stage today will gradually fade as humanity becomes more awake and conscious of spirit.

Lovely! And the poem hits home. May we all keep our spirits fortified! My day started with my golden retriever, walking the horse trails behind my house. Peace, beauty, joy and the spirit of Christmas filled me up! Then a hearty breakfast followed. My husband makes the best Julia Child omelettes! Wishing peace and abundant blessings to all! ❤️
