I mean in the 20 years before Oct 7, the IDF killed 20,000 Palestinians, and jailed, tortured and raped thousands of others, and subjected the general population to harsh living conditions and rampant collective punishment. Under their command, half the pop of Palestine would have died from starvation without intl assistance.
People in the region commonly want the apartheid regime to end, and for Palestine to be given its statehood back, which is currently being blocked, single-handedly, by the US on the UNSC. If not for the US, Palestine would be a state.
Perhaps you haven't had the chance to see the enormous amount of evidence of all manner of crimes being committed by Israel at the UN, such as at the ICJ, or UN investigators, or the Human Rights Council, or outside of that, the reports by Amnesty Intl or Human Rights Watch, where they saying Israel is conducting genocide.
And I listen to Israeli finance minister Smotrich 6 months ago saying "We can cut the pop of Gaza to half in 2 years", and then moving on to showing real estate development plans for northern Gaza, which is the actual objective.
They can't get their "statehood" back, because they never had it to begin with. Palistine was offered statehood at the same time as Israel, back in the 1940's, and they refused. And for the next several decades, they swore to destroy Israel. It's still happening. That doesn't mean Israel hasn't committed its own atrocities, but it does mean you don't know history.
Ok I get it it doesn’t give a guest on a “green card” the right to participate in a demonstration that shuts a prestigious American university down. He can do it, but he risks losing his “green card” and his privilege of living here. Joe Biden who would have had him for dinner in the White House isn’t president any longer. So you play with fire sometimes you get burnt. And maybe not, we will see. I know he got his girlfriend pregnant and now they’re separated, so I’m sure the American hating ACLU will use that as well.,,,
You seem pretty convinced that America and Israel are the same thing. And as I said, Biden and Trump have both been staunchly pro-Israel. I think if you've missed what I've said so far, then you're just going to keep missing it from here on out.
BTW I say senseless war, but I do look at what Israel has done to Gaza as a land grab. Wasn’t Gaza a very nice place when Israel handed it to the Palestinians? Did Hamas or the Palestinians shoot rockets into Israel?
No I don’t like how pro Israel Trump is, I don’t like that Israel has turned Gaza into rubble, but I don’t like what happened on October 7th either. I don’t like war in general especially senseless wars like the one in Gaza and the one in Ukraine. I believe to a point, if Trump was president neither one of these wars would have happened. Joe Biden’s weakness helped this to happen. But that’s my opinion.

Great conversation.
