During covid, one of the most groups most resistant to psychological bioterrorism was (perhaps) evangelical Christians. This was seen most clearly in the military. If that is in fact the case, one reason for this would be that we are less vulnerable to governmental fearmongering because we have been delivered from the otherwise almost universal human fear of death. That is what Christians mean by "salvation": I have been "saved" from the wages (or consequences) of my sin - death - by Christ bearing the consequences for me on the cross . So no more existential fear of death, rather trust in God's promise that after we die, we will enjoy eternal life in heaven with him and his people.
As "people of the Book" we immerse ourselves daily in the truth of God's Word. I wonder if this tends to produced a heightened sensitivity to lies. I am not boasting, because faith in Christ is a "gift" from God (anyone can ask for it) so it's not like we can claim credit for our "smarts." Nor were evangelicals uniquely gifted with the ability to see through the propaganda - many fell for it, and of course, some - maybe most - of the bravest public "resisters" were not evangelicals. They will always be heroes to me. However, my hunch is that if you looked at the population as a whole, the biggest proportion of resisters would be evangelical Christians.
I’m not so certain. Many of my “no way in h—-“ friends succumbed when their church leaders fell for the $ trap and promoted the shots. The WHO had a formal directive to target the (previously trusted) clergy. Wish I’d saved a screenshot of that directive. Friends are all VI’d. Every one I know. Did churches receive a special lot, just like the Pfizer employees? Asking for a friend.
You have raised a valuable point and I’d like to zero in on “evangelical Christians.” I would narrow that to “those who have ears to hear”. We understand that this is all part of what is coming, we trust in God as our maker and sustainer, and His Word. Jesus, is our only hope (pardon the pun, but all of our eggs are in THAT basket). Thanks, for your post. Trust in Him. He is our great shepherd and I look forward to the day of His return when He becomes The King of kings. No more disinformation after that day.
