Spotify says they'll have "a COVID-19 hub that contains facts and information from medical and health experts." That's a fine idea. McCullough and Malone are two experts who certainly can provide good content for it, as can the others who testified at Senator Johnson's January 24 hearing.

Expand full comment

Take a look at their "Covid 19 Hub". Just mainstream media BS to keep the sheeple happy.

Expand full comment

Or maybe it’s just CYA?

Like my deli that posts the city’s mask mandate sign on the door: once you get inside, most of the employees and patrons are maskless.

I couldn't find it before I wrote my comment, but now I see it seems to be at https://open.spotify.com/genre/corona_news_podcasts-page . There's a lot there, too much for me to look at but probably nothing reliable. I'm not a Spotify subscriber, just because I can find elsewhere more worthwhile stuff than I have time to listen to.

Expand full comment

Make no mistake, they consider Rogan a platform for Malone. And the only way to censor Malone is to cancel the platform....

Expand full comment

I listened to Joe’s mea culpa this morning - the only problem with the “search for truth notices” is that they need to be on every broadcast of the “news” as well, not just Spotify.

And by the way, folks like Fauci don’t go on Rogan because they avoid the truth.

Expand full comment

Totally logical. But it's a pipe dream. The rabid Left will come for that next. It will not stop. By (their) definition, anyone not echoing their Party line, is spreading misinformation.

It is still beyond mystifying WHY NEIL YOUNG would cause such a farce of a stir. Following his music as he was a young solo rebel, through our cultural outrage through music and demonstrations regarding Vietnam War … deservingly….. Young, CSNY, wrote many anti government songs, as they hung with peers in a Canyon in LA.

(Recall - “4 Dead in Ohio”: the songs were fierce opposition to big brother) What happened to be the police for Government overreach, Big Media and Big Pharma mandates? NEIL, and generation… how did you get lost? You are not skeptical?

Your are into Censorship.? Did you make too much 💰 money? What gives? Where is authenticity?

There are the honorable investigators bound to share the data and areas of suppression, the sheep… don’t interrupt my life….. and the ignorant… who refuse to look or discuss the possibility of data around the world, not just MSM… The Censorship is Bizarre.

Thank you Dr. Malone for your voice of truth and courage.

I'm just grateful I won't have to hear "A Horse With No Name" by accident. Young is a boring, no-talent hack.

Will be interesting to see who contributes (or who is allowed to contribute) factual Covid-19 information to Spotify.

Expand full comment

My best guess is it will be government sponsored and won’t be close to honest.

Expand full comment

Spotify would be more liable for content on a curated hub because they would be a publisher rather than a platform. How much of these misinformation warnings are accurate? This is (should be) a legal liability.

Expand full comment

Absolutely! Will they do that though, do you think, or be threatened and cowed?

I wholeheartedly agree about Glenn Greenwald. His was the first Substack I subscribed to, around a year ago, and was how I learned about the platform. He is whip smart, analytical, and insightful, and knows what real journalism is. He’s also a fierce defender of the freedom of speech and not forgetting who used to stand for (and say) what just a few years ago. He’s excellent at calling out hypocrisy.

Exactly my reaction, as well.

And they will follow him there and crash that platform as well. This is total war and they seem unstoppable. Not that I'm interested in discouraging anyone, but we do not yet understand the power of the enemy we are facing.

Yep ... I'd go with him and freedom speech!

I am in a melancholy mood tonight. Spotify has caved which is disgusting. A person that I respected, Brene Brown, also has come out in support of censorship because....well frankly I have no idea because it seems at odds with her public persona. I despair in the US anyone will be held accountable because no one was with the Russia hoax (an attorney fabricated evidence against Carter Page and got basically no punishment but a non-violent guy who went into the capitol building got serious jail time). The double standards are so apparent but it seems they do as they please with no repercussions.

Sorry for the downer post. I applaud your continued hard work and pray this turns around because if it doesn't, we are done as a country. The evidence is clear thanks to you and others who support independent inquiry. Thank you.

Brene Brown and her closest friends have always been progressive elites. I don't know why you'd expect otherwise.

I thought because of her spiritual nature she would support individual freedom of thought. Clearly I was wrong and will never again listen to anything she transmits or read a word of what she writes. Vapid cow.

Clinesmith even got to keep his law license. WTH!

Right! I have worked in the past with FISA court "stuff" and I cannot tell you how completely appalled I have been with all of this. Clinesmith falsified evidence, the lawyers who presented to the FISA court suppressed exculpatory information (a total no-no) so basically perjured themselves to the court and what happened??? fricking nothing. (Apologies, I am in a very negative mood and should probably sign off)

PS-2: Tucker is outstanding and his Tucker-Tonight should also be widely accessible on Spotify, Rumble, elsewhere.

His is very solid reporting, invites many who are completely silenced/censored in corrupt "mainstream" corporate media.

The rest of Fox is unwatchable... just like CNN, NYT, WaPost and MSNBC ;-))

Expand full comment

Agree. Here in Canuckistan we have to run through a VPN just to see Tucker - Tonight. It is well worth it though - he revived the long interview journalism format and often has very impressive guests on. I appreciate that he doesn't restrict his guests to only those who share his political views - it really allows viewers to hear opinions they otherwise might not and makes for very interesting discussions. Triggernometry follows a similar format and is also great.

I agree. Tucker is a warrior for good! We subscribe to FoxNation. (Yes! Fox News sucks!!) It’s great you should get it. The (P)residents (Big Guy) crack head son (H) is on tonight, looks very interesting.

Also Brian kilmeade, he has a lot of 20 minute spots of various historical places. Fort Jefferson never knew it was there. In Florida, south past the Everglades and keys a smidge of an island. Very interesting stuff.

You fart nonsense. He is attacked because he was among first to state it is a LUNACY for allowing trans-women to compete in sports as - women. Please inform yourself before farting stupidities.

I read Glenn for decades -- he is a noble person of the highest integrity. He supports, like any sane person, that transwomen should be treated with respect and as women -- BUT is strictly against allowing them to compete in women sports for obvious reasons.

So go fuck yourself and spill your vomit and ignorant hatred elsewhere...

Sirius/XM paid millions to have Stern anchor their failing business model; he can no longer save them because he’s become a pussy. Spotify paid ~$100m to Rogan. Unless his contract is weaker than I would imagine he’d allow, if they censor him anymore than they did in the beginning by deleting certain podcasts, he can walk away, and start his own platform. No one, to be sure. But the battle started and continues in the dictionary. 30 years ago no one but sovietologists knew the term 'misinfo.' Today... well, we all know how it has been weaponized, as over 100 years ago Lenin made clear about his use of words.

Expand full comment

Yep. Dezinformatsia. And the accusation is, of course, standard communist projection.

Expand full comment

Your "standard" is the key, I believe. Whenever an attack is made, the target is accused of the attacker's motives and actions; it softens up any resistance, keeping at bay forces that otherwise might be inclined to defend the target by confusing their perceptions and thereby buying time for the aggressor to score a bulls-eye. It is excellent tactical weaponry.

Especially if the victim is a stupid corrupt cucked coward who won't take the offensive. E.g. Racism. Dems are racists. All about skin color, jam us into arbitrary race boxes, discriminate on race, defecate on ML King's REPUBLICAN Dream of a colorblind society. So Dems get to call Rs racist with impunity. The R response is, "no we're not!", and "whose ass can we kiss to prove it?" Rs should be accusing Ds of racism, preemptively, every chance they get.

I especially love it when Ds accuse Rs of projection & disinformation. I'm sure most of the hoaxes, psyops & provocateurs floating around are Dem & Deep State launched. Like Q & Ray Epps.

"The Pressure Campaign on Spotify to Remove Joe Rogan Reveals the Religion of Liberals: Censorship"

That word "liberalism" has been so bastardized to be almost meaningless today. One of the oldest tricks in the book is to take over a political philosophy, retain the name to deceive people, and turn it into the polar opposite of what it previously stood for. This subversive tactic confuses a lot of people. True liberals have responded by relabelling liberalism as classical liberalism, but in reality classical liberalism = liberalism whereas modern "liberalism" = socialism and cultural Marxism. The definition of true liberalism is provided by the Mises Institute here:

"Classical liberalism" is the term used to designate the ideology advocating private property, an unhampered market economy, the rule of law, constitutional guarantees of freedom of religion and of the press, and international peace based on free trade. Up until around 1900, this ideology was generally known simply as liberalism."

Conservatism has also been highjacked and subverted by Neo-Conservatism which was founded by a Trotskyite and Labour parties no longer represent working men and women. The Trudeau government in Ottawa is really Marxist/Fascist regime with only the trappings of true liberalism. The same applies to the core of the Conservative Party of Canada.

"When words lose their meaning, people will lose their liberty." – Confucius, circa 500 B. C.
