What i would like to know, is why anyone, anywhere is getting a vax for measles or mumps or chickenpox?

When I was a child, my mother took me to visit kids with those illnesses, even if we barely knew them! I had measles, mumps, & chicken.pox, no big deal! Everyone I knew did. With measles you stayed in a darkened room so they didnt "settle in your eyes" and make you blind. With mumps you stayed horizontal so they didnt "slide" into your genitals and make you sterile.

In all my life, I've only known one person with a long term negative effect from measles and that was my Uncle JJ, who went blind from measles when he was 6 years old around 1890. He became one this country's first Chiropractors and being the only doctor around for a 100 miles, was renowned for having "seeing hands" and fabulous results as a country doc.

The only instance of genital mumps I ever heard of was our preacher's son, who went on to have a large family.

I think vaccine hesitancy is a good thing! We have submissively accepted vaccination for far too many things over the years due to monetary incentives by vaccine makers, who have used trumped up fear of transient illness, often not even from proven microbial origin, to skew our critical thought and decision making. We have been far, far too trusting.

I have a new fridge magnet!

It's a photo of RFK jr with that classic, patient, skeptical look on his face. The caption reads: Are you sure about that?
