Great article. This is why the progs want to dumb people down as much as they possible can via the "school" system. People who are science illiterate and incapable of critical thinking are the most easily duped into following the religion of scientism, and even becoming rabid parroters.

Statical journals are full of interesting debates — those should be part of the educational tour. For example: the way the confidence stats are established in novel research where there is no prevalence data. Journals should be required to have stats editors and explicit commentary about the limits of the inferences in practice changing studies — because this reasoning is such a critical specialization. Big studies should have to pay (or take pro bono or public paid) adversarial statistical analysis and trial criticism— the journals have failed too much.

Objectivity is REQUIRED. Your suggestion of a 3rd party referee is excellent. Also, in my lab group at work(retired now) we had access to a statistician to assist us in experiment design(factorials mostly), planning, and analysis.
Pfizer should have had a large Statistical Analysis company, NOT under their control, independently run the pre-Covid vaccine study. Neither they nor any other pharma company can be trusted for something like this.

It truly is another sign of the decline of the West. How we ever recover from this, I have no idea. It seems the only thing we have learned from this is, at least half of adults would drink poison if the CDC, FDA and NIH said we should in response to a pandemic, and 35% of parents would give it to their kids.
Sad to see some parents listening to this demon Fauci, offering up their children to be sacrificed on the altar of Scientism. The same parents making the offering to the Morlocks by taking their young children to Drag Queen Story Time and legitimizing pedophilia. Seems the Overton Window is a tool of Mass Formation hypnosis.
Your Substack is truly impressive. You quoted some of my favorite authors. G. K. Chesterton was so prolific I would need at least another lifetime to read his works, fiction and non-fiction. He had a brilliant mind as did C. S. Lewis. Hayek's book, "The Road to Serfdom" is chilling. I read it in the 1990's during Bill Clinton's first term. It would be even more applicable now because we are well on our way down the road to serfdom.
The Woke DIE mob has taken over the universities, the NGO's, the government agencies that control funding and grants, and many of the larger corporations. The corruption and rot is nearly universal. With faculty, and prospective faculty having to declare their DIE bonafides to gain employment, or keep employment, I don't see how the rot can be excised.
