Until later I saw that article and after that I opened a construction company and a guy that worked for Parker at that time brought it up to me. A real scary twisted man. I actually had met him at a point still not knowing it was him but it absolutely was.
Interestingly back when we were kids it was rather common to accept rides from strangers..I did and my dad was a cop...and unfortunate consequences for doing so not as common as novelists today would have you believe. We are experiencing an epidemic of lawless behavior due at least in part with the abrogation of deterrence in the "justice system" .
