Profit is absolutely not for building a Health Care system on. Not unless you want them to bleed you until you are dead.

Profit is not the suitable incentive for a lot of things... pretty much all society-related systems; think education, infrastructure, environmental protection and so forth.

The false idea is that "profit" makes everything more "efficient", but - as Noam Chomsky explained, the goal of any corporation is to maximize profit, delivering the worst product/ service at the highest price. The social burden when they relocate the production and the cost to the environment are considered "externalities".

In the Western "democracies", the military, police, and - especially - the politicians are "for profit"...

Corporate profits have turned America's consumer product into trash, mostly. And yet I find corporations generally to be the antithesis of efficient, as anyone who has every tried to resolve a problem with a consumer product can attest. Of course too, profit-focus has turned us all apparently into mere consumers, and that has been absolutely disastrous for the health of people and the earth.

But of course; they are mostly lead by business majors, who have ZERO understanding of the technical side, but know only how to please their Wallstreet lords and masters, with stock buy backs and other $#itfu*kery (TM тАЬThe Juice MediaтАЭ)тАж

When the available resources are extracted rather than being invested into the company, one cannot expect good outcomesтАж see Boeing (for example).
