This video from Linda Yaccarino is exactly what those of us who were paying attention raised when Elon made this inscrutable decision to hire Miss WEF. Now even more, it feels like he pulled a fast one, a bait-and-switch to those of us wanting to speak our minds. He is just too intelligent, too purposeful, to not have known how this would look, let alone how things would play out, with her. What's the point of free speech if they can make of fancy terms and ways of preventing your speech from being heard? It's just censorship. Poop by another name is just as disgusting. ...and yes, Robert, we can have other platforms, but it is the average drones that need to hear and wake up. Us becoming a minority in an echo chamber still loses our freedom and this country. What, then, is the point?

My thoughts exactly when the appointment of L Y was announced. Her credentials should have made everyone on Twitter yell (until their reach was shortened) and run for the hills of Substack. Yaccarino's Wiki page is hilarious -- NOT: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linda_Yaccarino

Trust Musk? NO, not even at dusk.

if all of the awake, intelligent, highly ethical people leave twitter, it will become like cnn and the “average drones” will notice that the party has moved elsewhere. Have faith, and support the ethical platforms instead.

“Freedom of Speech, Not Reach” seems similar to freedom to vote, but not to have your vote counted.

I remember seeing videos of folks opening up ballots in philly and chicago. There was a barrel garbage can in front of them, in both locations. Ballots were opened, most of which were immediately trashed. Some went into a pile, but not many

Look at the Justice department weaponized suit against him via Space X - the usual Justice department double bind - if he hires non citizens, he violates the Export act, if he does not then he violates the Garland dictat (changes regularly depending who is in the cross hairs) He will "manage" this situation as he has done before - she is just window dressing. Interesting that the Justice lawsuit ensued immediately after Zuckerman's Thread imploded even with all the membership of Instagram behind it. Great publicity re Space X getting the astronauts to the space station.

Honestly, I get how gov't hems one it, but I don't agree with the implication that, because he has troubles with regulators that he's "on our side" or that she's "just window dressing" and he'll "manage this situation". Too many assumptions, my friend, assumptions which do not line up with his behavior and what is actually happening. The video itself clearly indicates he is *not* "handling" it in any material way if that is what he is supposed to be doing. ...but, time will tell, right? Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Every online effort, be it FakeBook, Twitville, Telegum, YouBoob, Paypal, Ebay, all of them are USG data gathering sites. Dorsey, Musk, Bezos, Zucky, all of them are USG operatives seeded with money from the USG and under its control. Musk was tasked with the short-term remake of Twitville. Remember that NO twitter files were used in the MO v Biden lawsuit filed May 2022 months before Musk's buyout was completed in Oct 2022. The Twitville 'Files" were made available starting in Dec 3, 2022 AFTER the 2022 elections for impression persuasion. It was just a means to gain access to more conservatives’ data. This is what Dr. Malone calls a psychological operations plus data gathering. And do not forget this:

Last week researcher leaked that X is looking to implement a facial recognition login feature that requires the user to provide a selfie to prove that they are the correct user, along with a driver’s license or government-issued ID.

‘These images will be sent to third-party service Au10tix, which will handle face biometrics matching. It is reported that X will store these images for a maximum of 30 days,’ Biometric Update reported.

X News Daily, a publication that reports on everything X, says that this will be optional for Verified users, though a lot of people have assume it will be for everyone.

One other important point, to me, is that I don’t agree that the non-censoring platforms are echo chambers, or that by moving to them that we “become a minority”. On those platforms, we may and will disagree about many important things, such as who would make the best next president, but the key point is that we respect other points of view, learn from other points of view, and thus want all points of view to be part of the conversation. By moving to such platforms, we let Miss WEF know that we won’t comply with her ill-conceived censored conversations, which she is betting we’ll still participate in. We instead demonstrate a commitment to the noncensoring perspective, and we make it possible for the inclusive noncensoring perspective to become the majority perspective. Let’s not doubt that respectful interest in all opinions could become the welcome new way for a large majority of our fellow citizens.

I’m personally not a fan of twitter, facebook, youtube, linkedin, or google, and never have been. Every once in a while there’s a twitter discussion that I can’t participate in because I won’t create an account, but it’s very rare that the material isn’t also provided on an open site, and for me the commitment to open dialog is more significant than whatever details I may have missed out on.

Expand full comment

The concern is not as much as that they are echo chambers is that the censorship will and attempts to move will be (1) too little, too late, (2) the majority of folks who are duped, who are just buying the visible narrative, will be sufficient to delay things and keep us divided, as they won't migrate over to the new platform anytime soon and they won't be convinced by reality even if they do. It's about division so that we can be subdued. Things move too quickly these days and the window is closing rapidly.... Honestly, it is likely all "shuffling deck chairs"...

Expand full comment

You may be right, but I believe that staying on X has the impact of bolstering the confidence of those who support the censorship, and hence isn't a good idea. We don't know that moving to uncensored platforms will be too little too late, and in any case it seems like the better choice to me.

You are right, particularly in the sense that being open to some realities and conservative ideas does not cause them to have "eyes that see and ears that hear": they are still blind to many spiritual realities and the bigger picture (Eph 6:12, etc.). They are just handled differently by those powers and are still ultimately duped, which leads to end results as per my comment above. We will ultimately always be betrayed by the secular "champion", as they are still really spiritually blind.

Do you remember those days of old (about 3 years ago) when people could say and think whatever it was that crossed their mind. And “liberals” would say I might not like what you have to say, but I’d fight to the death for your right to say it. Thank god we have real grown ups that run places like X-twitter to deem what is considered appropriate speech for us deplorables. Meet the new nazi, same as the old nazi. Thanks Elon. J.Goodrich

Expand full comment

"Not that bad" is exactly why he is moving in the directions that he is. Being semi-conservative still leaves him blind to certain realities and he will be consumed by them, which will leave those depending upon him hanging out to dry. Reality is comprehensive and systematic, with *all* things being interconnected. (Even just philosophically, that is self-evident.) He gets part of reality, but not other aspects. Having a mix of vision with blindness leads to the embracing of an even more complex mixture of lies & truth. ...and hence Linda. One way or another, either wittingly or otherwise, that which totally contradicts his communicated intent was put in place by him. "You will know them by their fruits..."

The only solution is stop spending money on companies and things we don’t need. Look at how effective Bud light and Target were. Bring their companies to their knees. Crush them one at a time like they are trying to crush us. Pick the biggest useful idiots first, Disney would be a great start. It only takes a small percentage of revenue loss for these money hungry CEO’s to poop their pants. CNN, MSDNC and FOX are doing it themselves so they should be even easier targets.

Piece by piece, bit by bit WE have empowered those operating in the shadows to now be brave enough to spew their poison publicly. Think for a moment what it may mean when once you were "Twitter" a bird , and then suddenly you transform into a very prominent "X". We can no longer pretend that the poisonous green cloud of evil has not drifted over every valley and peak of

our world. In my day when my teacher put an X on my paper it clearly symbolized an error!

“I believe a man is happier, and happy in a richer way, if he had ‘the freeborn mind.‘ But I doubt whether he can have this without economic independence, which the new society is abolishing. For economic independence allows an education not controlled by Government; and in adult life it is the man who needs, and asks, nothing of Government who can criticize its acts and snap his fingers at its ideology.” CS Lewis

We build new systems that make the old ones obsolete- ones 100% controlled and built by the people - then plug them into the system with decentralized leadership.
