The winner was Pam Anderson who was on the board of Center for Tech and Civic Life, a 'non profit' funded by the Skoll Foundation, the Democracy Fund, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. This is the org that got $350m Zuck bucks. The Dem incumbent SOS won.

People lie, cheat and steal for no reason and no gain all the time. When given the chance to lie, cheat and steal for a “reason” they do it with gusto and in a state of euphoria. That is why the puppet masters spend more time with their naming conventions then the actual acts of deceit.
It seems almost impossible it could get nastier than it has been. It is one thing for a party to play dirty, but when they attract the other party to join in it's a new type of ballgame.
