One thing for sure, this past 3 1/2 plus years have certainly been historic. This Alford plea by Hunter Biden was an effort to claim innocence but at the same time accept guilt. It was not accepted by the prosecution and a straight guilty plea was made just before jury selection was to begin. Although Joe Biden has said he will not pardon Hunter or commute his sentence it looks as though Joe will have no choice. The Biden’s are running out of time and the discovery portion of a trial would have been devastating for Joe Biden, implicating him in foreign bribe money schemes dispersed throughout the Biden family. This guilty plea could be a tell about a lot of things, for one do the Biden’s believe Trump is going to win?

This could trigger many more unconventional actions. As Biden came into office with dozens of executive orders I believe he will go out with dozens of pardons for his family including a big one for himself. Like Gerald Fords broad pardon of Nixon over any future charges brought about by Watergate Joe will need to pardon Joe to inoculate himself from future charges brought by a Trump justice department. These swirls of gross corruptions from this Biden administration make me want to take a shower.

Common sense is not so common but in a crazy way I have always been a bit envious of people that can ignore what is so obvious. 28 million dollars, from foreign countries, deposited into Biden accounts for no real returns, lying about relationships with Hunters business associates, lying about Hunters laptop, censoring political opponents, jailing political opponents, the boarder is secure, lockdowns, redaction of our civil liberties, redaction of the truth, forcing experimental chemical injections, I could go on but for me it’s all too hard to stay ignorant of. They say ignorance is bliss, I sometimes wish I could feel such bliss. (bliss; perfect happiness, great JOY). J.Goodrich

Why they do not teach critical thinking in schools.

Sep 8·edited Sep 8

I’m sure you remember when they used to teach critical thinking, but somewhere in there it stopped for maany. But that did not last long in my county. I have a friend on my county Board of Education, and one reason he and a few others ran and won was because they objected and took charge. There have been references to some bad situations not long before I moved here, and another of those board members, a local entrepreneur, whose children started here but are now in a private school in a neighboring county. He wants to move them back this being one reason he ran. This county is about as red as possible, but another Board of Education member is openly gay with a black partner and they are probably the most conservative of the lot having raised a Marine. They are also respected community members with a couple of thriving businesses. A few graduating students go to the Ivy League, but others look at the possibilities and graduate with their Master Electrician’s Certificate or a similar vocational background and start earning more than the college graduates, so, it appears they do teach critical thinking here after a brief period of wokeness where the community has quickly risen up and taken charge. One reason I retired and moved here was the people!

Joe could resign on Jan 19th in the morning and Kamal could pardon everyone, including him, in the afternoon. Probable if she loses the election. An opinion piece I read yesterday suggested that, having tried everything else to get Trump out and guarantee a win for Kamala, the Dems might push Joe to resign the Presidency so that Kamala could enter the election as an incumbent. Seems unlikely, but if that were to happen, there goes Hunter's and the Biden family's chances for a blanket pardon. Sentencing in Hunter's case is set for December 16.

I have heard that is a possibility Carole. I’m sure they could make a deal, I put nothing past any of them.

Expand full comment

Been a while, but I thought judgment is actually entered at sentencing. Can you pardon somebody before judgment is entered? I dunno... I worked in a State court. Maybe the Feds do things differently.

Expand full comment

Yes pardons can be given even before charges are filed like I had mentioned Ford pardoned Nixon for broad charges on anything related to Watergate. A President can also pardon himself. The only thing he can’t get out of is impeachment.

Expand full comment

I don't believe Joe can pardon himself, but he can pardon all of his family. If Trump wins, Joe could resign the Presidency a few days before Jan 20th and elevate Kamala and have her pardon him (and Hunter, if he decides to keep his commitment not to pardon him.) Of course, if Kamala wins he can have her do the same after she is sworn in. There is no way we will ever really know the depth of corruption the Biden family was involved in.

No guarantee Kamala would pardon Hunter though. That could be leverage to keep Joe in line.

It was autumn, and the Indians on the remote reservation asked their new Chief if the winter was going to be cold or mild. Since he was an Indian Chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets.

When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the weather was going to be. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he replied to his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared.

Also, being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, "Is the coming winter going to be cold?"

"It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold indeed," the meteorologist at the weather service responded. So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more wood in order to be prepared.

A week later, he called the National Weather Service again. "Is it going to be a very cold winter?"

"Yes," the man at National Weather Service again replied,"it's definitely going to be a very cold winter." The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of wood they could find.

Two weeks later, he called the National Weather Service again. "Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?"

"Absolutely," the man replied. "It's going to be one of the coldest winters ever."

"How can you be so sure?" the Chief asked.

The weatherman replied, "The Indians are collecting wood like crazy."

"But, officer, I just wanted to say"

"And I said to keep quiet! You're going to jail!"

A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner and said "Lucky for you that the chief's at his daughter's wedding. He'll be in a good mood when he gets back."

"Don't count on it," answered the fellow in the cell. "I'm the groom."

Some food for thought in today's strip. The Harriet Martineau quotation from approximately 200 years ago is so apropos of today that it makes me question the beliefs of my entire lifetime. Is it really possible that the "media," such as it was, was already corrupted and controlled, possibly from the beginning of its existence? Have I been believing a lie for most of my life? I truly believed that journalism was an honorable and ethical profession until very recently. For a long time I also believed that government was basically good. My eyes are open now, and I'm starting to see the truth in the final meme, as the illusion begins to unravel. I just hope it's not too little, too late.

On a lighter note, the "trails of cows farting" panel made me giggle. The subject is far from funny, but it's hard to take seriously the people who actually expect us to believe such ludicrousness .

Globalist Rino Liz Cheney, her father Dick Cheney is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. They do not believe in nationalism nor the U.S. Constitution like Trump.

https://www.cfr.org/membership/roster

In the United States it has been the Council on Foreign Relations who is the operation front for the NWO.

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) - the American leg of the European Round table Group.

The CFR has only 3000 members yet they control over three-quarters of the nation's wealth. The CFR runs the State Department and the CIA. The CFR has placed 100 CFR members in every Presidential Administration and cabinet since Woodrow Wilson. They work together to misinform the President to act in the best interest of the CFR not the best interest of the American People. At least five Presidents (Eisenhower, Ford, Carter, Bush, and Clinton) have been members of the CFR. The CFR has packed every Supreme court with CFR insiders.

Historically they did not care who one the election since they controlled both parties(Rinos) from the top.

The Council Of Foreign Relations has gained a virtual lock-hold on the U.S. government, regardless of which party is in office. No other organization comes close to boasting the kind of clout that the CFR members have held: eight presidents of the U.S.; seven vice presidents; 17 secretaries of state; 20 secretaries of war/defense; 18 secretaries of the Treasury; 15 directors of the CIA. And it has gone throughout the Cabinets, in seriatim — through Democrat and Republican administrations — with hundreds of deputy secretaries, assistant secretaries, etc.
