Unlike the other times, after the doctor had examined me I brought up the subject and he read me the EXACT same fallacious talking points I heard from another physician who was quoted in the Chicago Tribune and to whom I wrote an email:
1. Virus spreads through droplets and masks block droplets (false, they do not as they are small enough to pass through).
2 He asserted that the masks do not need to be sterile but "clean." So, when his secretary clutched mask in her (clean?) fingers and thrust it at me, there could be no virions or bacteria on that mask, right?
3. "Would you want to have surgery with someone who wasn;t wearing a mask?" love that one, since it ducts the entire question of the evidentiary basis for mask use, apart from the fact there are studies that show a greater infection risk for certain surgeries with masks.
They treated me like a child, and I bitterly resent it. Therefore, I doubt I can remain his patient, even though he is well informed when it comes to his specialty.
he's showing he's a quack, not fit to practice medicine. If he doesn't know the simple truth that masks do not stop viruses, find another doctor who does understand that basic fact.

Like you,even though I rarely go to doctors if I can help it at all, I am looking for new doctors because I lost my faith in every single one of them the past 3 years. I had to go to my cardiologist two weeks ago. They had a big sign about masking and everyone in the waiting room, about 20 people were all wearing their masks dutifully. This is strange because my region actually has not been very masked the entire time and you rarely see one now in the real world. I simply walked in with no mask and sat down and I got a few stink eyes! But no one ever said a word and when the nurse came to get me and she was fully masked, but she also said nothing about my lack of mask. I'm so sick of playing their game. But I do understand you did not want to lose your appointment because you probably also would have been charged for it. But I am actively looking for new doctors but they are few and far between

I feel the same. Neither my primary doc nor my GI doc wear masks. And I took my dad to two major Chicago hospitals last week and they asked, but did not insist I wear one.
You may consider him your best. But if I were in your shoes, I'd find another retinologist. I am aware it's not always easy. I've actually replaced one of my own physicians for far less justification than you're describing here.
But, everyone has to play it the way he sees it. Do what makes sense for you.
At my retinaologist's they have a sign that says no mask if you're fully vaxed and boosted. I have oxygen problems so I decided I'm not wearing a mask. I am getting shots in my eye(s) so I suppose one could say I'm at risk, but masks that don't work wont protect my eyes. The Dr wears 2 masks. So far (long time) no issues. (I'm unvaxed but did have Omicron)
If he remains unconvinced, consider looking for other retinologists in your area who might be able to see the light that this doctor clearly cannot see (eye puns intended). Then tell the old retinologist that you have chosen a new one and explain why.
I have an impulse to write him and his staff, but I think that time could be put to use more productively, for example, by working on my COVID era novel.
In your opinion, is the Cochran Library still the gold standard and did it make it through the pandemic unscathed? Now that most else of the Medical profession, (CDC, WHO, NIH, FDA, The Lancet, Many/most doctors and health professionals, etc.) has been tarnished to say the least, it would be nice to know that there exists something we can still (at this point) trust.

I have worn N-95s for decades in my woodworking shop and found that even with the mask in place, at the end of the day when I blow my nose there is always brown dust in the blow. So I knew from this experience that they were not all that effective for the minute particles. And the virus is even smaller.

The entire flccc site is an incredible resource. It was one way I kept my sanity during this entire charade. They are providing information and questions and answers like our Public Health government should have been doing all along but never did. Their protocols have certainly kept my husband and I ( and 137 friends that we helped ) healthy the entire 3 years. I am much more focused on my vitamin D levels now but I also take their recommended vitamins and supplements. Something must work cuz I simply don't get sick anymore. My covid was 36 hours long because I started early treatment within 3 hours using the flccc protocol. You need to have all that stuff ready for the instant you get sick. Once you're sick you don't feel good enough to assemble any of it . Covid was a complete non-event and I was back up to 100% activity on day 5. We are 68 and 79 with several conditions and it was absolutely as non-eventful as could be using early treatment. Who on Earth would return to a doctor who made the comment to go home and wait for your condition to get a lot worse before you sought help? For instance if you had an early skin cancer, what if your doctor said "go home until it is a gaping hole in your face and then we'll figure out what to do with it". That's exactly what doctors have been telling us for 3 years. It is astonishing and nauseating and I still can't believe they are all so blind and stupid and incurious.

I am just wondering, when someone says they had covid were they tested? Were you tested for covid last Feb? Was you husband test for it when he felt ill? Are you told which variant? Wondering if each time I feel ill I should go somewhere to get a test to see that's all.
We happened to have home tests. We don't really have a lot of faith in them being accurate, but tested both times out of concern for others. I was supposed to get a haircut the day I tested. I felt like going, but didn't want to take a chance on perhaps spreading covid. My husband was supposed to leave for Guatemala on a mission trip, so the issue was the same; others who are more afraid of covid would not want to be around him. My friend had a positive result from Cologuard and needed an immediate colonoscopy. I took her. They made us wear masks. They would not let me sit with her before they called her in. They made me leave the building. They made her wear a mask all the way in to the procedure room. They would not let me go into the recovery room to be with her to hear the results. I had to wear a mask to meet her at the door to get her in to the car (but I did not). Repulsive. This woman was going there to find out if she indeed had cancer and they made her go it alone with a mask on like so much unfeeling meat. Thankfully she was clear. But what if not? We don’t even have high case counts here. What the hell are they doing? I am spreading the news that no one should ever go to that place again. The medical profession is dead and I don’t think I will ever set foot in a doctors office again.
I had a friend at work who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer during the pandemic. They put her in the hospital, hooked up to all kinds of tubes and machines. Her family that she was very devoted to couldn’t visit. They finally relented a bit as she started to go downhill, letting her daughters visit a few days to help her with things (like preparing a will, taking care of finances, etc). It wasn’t until her last week of life that they let the grandkids come in and see her to say good bye. She loved her grandkids, spoke with them everyday at 3 pm when they got out of school. They let her daughters stay with her for the last 24 hrs until she passed. Such cruelty. Her family meant everything to her and she hardly got to see them.
It's Year Four and for particular reasons certain hospitals, doctors. dentists, schools, et al still act like the CCP virus demands PPE. What might those reasons be? We know why the schools do. The unions are following the steps for dumbing down the children, and this is just one aspect to do so. But why the others? One would probably need to dissect the chain of command for each. This January my dentist finally dropped the mask mandate, I could freely walk the halls of the doctor's building without a mask, however I had to wear one while inside my pulmonary doctor's office. Did I complain, yes. They certainly know their patience can’t breathe well. I dropped it down below my nose and no one made a peep. I ask the nurse and the doc to take off their masks so I could understand them by reading their lips. They compiled. Conclusion – masks are meant to invoke fear and to alienate one another. I still have a vivid recall of the first time in 2021 I walked into a very busy convenience store/ gas station on a major highway MASK Free! Everyone in there was smiling!
I went mask free in stores in my very left-leaning town very early in the Covid madness. Rarely did I get confronted. I smiled at people and acted like a normal human being used to. A time or two if there was a store clerk monitoring shoppers as they entered for masks,I’d either put one on to get in and then take it off past the door, or if they asked if I “needed” a mask, I’d politely say, “No thank you!” and keep going on in. Only once or twice did I get told I had to wear a mask, so I’d about face and walk out.
I had one store clerk chase me down to tell me the town had a strict indoor mask policy and I needed to wear one. I just thanked him for letting me know and kept going. At the same town, I was in another store where they handed out masks as you entered. I took it and put it in my pocket. The store manager came over and confronted me on it. I said my piece that they don’t work and if he thinks they do, then he’s protected while he’s wearing his. In the end, I offered to leave since I didn’t want them to get fined. He told me he wanted me to put on the mask. I said okay I’ll leave.
Not all of them want to do this stuff. They are getting mandates from idiots in government. In Massachusetts, you must wear a mask at a healthcare facility, by government decree. No one voted on it, they just decided it would be that way. So I don’t go unless I really have to. And the mask comes off as soon as I’m in the exam room.
Same rule as to medical offices here in California. It’s absurd. It’s because the CDC, which has no law making powers, recommends it. It’s not a law. So I do the same thing you do, wear my phony mask (looks real but is actually sheer so as to fool the mask police), below my nose, and I rip it off as I exit. There is someone there to hand you a mask as you enter if you don’t have one on, but you could wear it under your nose or chin, or hanging from an ear, and no one says a thing. Again. You just have to have the costume piece hanging from you somehow to pass muster.
I only wear the costume for my disabled friend who needs me to pick up her prescriptions at the clinic pharmacy. I, myself, just don’t go to the doctor anymore if I can possibly avoid it.
It is beginning to look like some degree of schizophrenia has has invaded the medical profession. My husband decided to make an experiment.We have this bathroom cleaner that when you spray it in the shower to clean the shower it makes you cough. Well my husband decided that if the masks are suppose to keep out the Covid virus it should work on the bathroom cleaner. So he sprayed it and he started to cough. Well right then we got our answer. If it can’t keep the big droplets of cleaner out how can it keep out the virus. Also it can get in your eyes and infect you. So we never bought into the mask mandates.

Yeah, it never made any sense to me; the surgical masks are designed for bacteria retention, not viruses. Bacteria are approximately 10x the size of a virus. Additionally, when you sneeze or cough into a surgical mask, the outward pressure blasts every virus particle within the mask, out into the enviroment. The 3M company, N-95 mask, properly sized, performs much better. Unfortunately these days the N-95 is made in China. Imagine that! ;)
Steven Petty who is in charge of hospital PPE demonstrated how cigarette smoke went right through the masks & out the N95, which is meant for protecting the wearer & not others as the air is filtered coming in, but not when you breathe out.

The entire flccc site is an incredible resource. It was one way I kept my sanity during this entire charade. They are providing information and questions and answers like our Public Health government should have been doing all along but never did. Their protocols have certainly kept my husband and I ( and 137 friends that we helped ) healthy the entire 3 years. I am much more focused on my vitamin D levels now but I also take their recommended vitamins and supplements. Something must work cuz I simply don't get sick anymore. My covid was 36 hours long because I started early treatment within 3 hours using the flccc protocol. You need to have all that stuff ready for the instant you get sick. Once you're sick you don't feel good enough to assemble any of it . Covid was a complete non-event and I was back up to 100% activity on day 5. We are 68 and 79 with several conditions and it was absolutely as non-eventful as could be using early treatment. Who on Earth would return to a doctor who made the comment to go home and wait for your condition to get a lot worse before you sought help? For instance if you had an early skin cancer, what if your doctor said "go home until it is a gaping hole in your face and then we'll figure out what to do with it". That's exactly what doctors have been telling us for 3 years. It is astonishing and nauseating and I still can't believe they are all so blind and stupid and incurious.
I am 70, my husband is 71 and we are unvaxxed. We've kept ivermectin and other supplements on hand and taken them prophylactically when we were in crowds and at the first sign of possible sickness. I had covid in February of last year and it was very mild; I felt bad for one day. My husband just had covid a couple of weeks ago; very mild for him also. We had the extreme honor of meeting four of the FLCCC doctors last year; Drs. Kory, Marik, Syed (better known as Dr. Been) and Berkowitz. I was afraid I would cry when I met them, but I managed to hold it together. As you said, they have been a lifeline.
I am just wondering, when someone says they had covid were they tested? Were you tested for covid last Feb? Was you husband test for it when he felt ill? Are you told which variant? Wondering if each time I feel ill I should go somewhere to get a test to see that's all.
We happened to have home tests. We don't really have a lot of faith in them being accurate, but tested both times out of concern for others. I was supposed to get a haircut the day I tested. I felt like going, but didn't want to take a chance on perhaps spreading covid. My husband was supposed to leave for Guatemala on a mission trip, so the issue was the same; others who are more afraid of covid would not want to be around him. We don't know which variant and don't really care. We knew the so-called variants had gotten milder, at least for the unvaxxed. I'm not playing the covid game again. I will be considerate of others, but I will not wear a mask other than in a medical setting, and I will speak out at every opportunity about the harms that have been done through denial of early treatment, through deadly hospital protocols and through the toxic vaccines. We aren't going to test every time we feel ill, we'll just stay away from others as is prudent whenever we are sick with something that may be contagious. We also don't report our results to any health authority, it's none of their business and I have no trust in any of them anymore.
Thank you. I did not know about home tests. Home tests would make it harder to track covid case numbers for sure. I heard when the PCR tests came out, the guy who invented them said they would not work for covid. They were for the flu. Go figure.

I would use the same protocols that Dr Cohen is suggesting in this video - the cannot hurt, and my help. I also started taking black Elderberry syrup after a bad cold in Nov. - many take it as upper respiratory aid and others take it as a preventative - I took it for big phlegm and it helped and now I take it as a preventative.

My friend had a positive result from Cologuard and needed an immediate colonoscopy. I took her. They made us wear masks. They would not let me sit with her before they called her in. They made me leave the building. They made her wear a mask all the way in to the procedure room. They would not let me go into the recovery room to be with her to hear the results. I had to wear a mask to meet her at the door to get her in to the car (but I did not). Repulsive. This woman was going there to find out if she indeed had cancer and they made her go it alone with a mask on like so much unfeeling meat. Thankfully she was clear. But what if not? We don’t even have high case counts here. What the hell are they doing? I am spreading the news that no one should ever go to that place again. The medical profession is dead and I don’t think I will ever set foot in a doctors office again.
I had a friend at work who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer during the pandemic. They put her in the hospital, hooked up to all kinds of tubes and machines. Her family that she was very devoted to couldn’t visit. They finally relented a bit as she started to go downhill, letting her daughters visit a few days to help her with things (like preparing a will, taking care of finances, etc). It wasn’t until her last week of life that they let the grandkids come in and see her to say good bye. She loved her grandkids, spoke with them everyday at 3 pm when they got out of school. They let her daughters stay with her for the last 24 hrs until she passed. Such cruelty. Her family meant everything to her and she hardly got to see them.
I’m so sorry for you and her family. My brother also died that way. So cruel and inhuman.
It's Year Four and for particular reasons certain hospitals, doctors. dentists, schools, et al still act like the CCP virus demands PPE. What might those reasons be? We know why the schools do. The unions are following the steps for dumbing down the children, and this is just one aspect to do so. But why the others? One would probably need to dissect the chain of command for each. This January my dentist finally dropped the mask mandate, I could freely walk the halls of the doctor's building without a mask, however I had to wear one while inside my pulmonary doctor's office. Did I complain, yes. They certainly know their patience can’t breathe well. I dropped it down below my nose and no one made a peep. I ask the nurse and the doc to take off their masks so I could understand them by reading their lips. They compiled. Conclusion – masks are meant to invoke fear and to alienate one another. I still have a vivid recall of the first time in 2021 I walked into a very busy convenience store/ gas station on a major highway MASK Free! Everyone in there was smiling!
I went mask free in stores in my very left-leaning town very early in the Covid madness. Rarely did I get confronted. I smiled at people and acted like a normal human being used to. A time or two if there was a store clerk monitoring shoppers as they entered for masks,I’d either put one on to get in and then take it off past the door, or if they asked if I “needed” a mask, I’d politely say, “No thank you!” and keep going on in. Only once or twice did I get told I had to wear a mask, so I’d about face and walk out.

I had one store clerk chase me down to tell me the town had a strict indoor mask policy and I needed to wear one. I just thanked him for letting me know and kept going. At the same town, I was in another store where they handed out masks as you entered. I took it and put it in my pocket. The store manager came over and confronted me on it. I said my piece that they don’t work and if he thinks they do, then he’s protected while he’s wearing his. In the end, I offered to leave since I didn’t want them to get fined. He told me he wanted me to put on the mask. I said okay I’ll leave.
Not all of them want to do this stuff. They are getting mandates from idiots in government. In Massachusetts, you must wear a mask at a healthcare facility, by government decree. No one voted on it, they just decided it would be that way. So I don’t go unless I really have to. And the mask comes off as soon as I’m in the exam room.
Same rule as to medical offices here in California. It’s absurd. It’s because the CDC, which has no law making powers, recommends it. It’s not a law. So I do the same thing you do, wear my phony mask (looks real but is actually sheer so as to fool the mask police), below my nose, and I rip it off as I exit. There is someone there to hand you a mask as you enter if you don’t have one on, but you could wear it under your nose or chin, or hanging from an ear, and no one says a thing. Again. You just have to have the costume piece hanging from you somehow to pass muster.
I only wear the costume for my disabled friend who needs me to pick up her prescriptions at the clinic pharmacy. I, myself, just don’t go to the doctor anymore if I can possibly avoid it.
It is beginning to look like some degree of schizophrenia has has invaded the medical profession. It has been known ever since the Spanish flu those damned masks are useless in preventing the spread of respiratory viruses. Yet every time you go to one today every one of them wears a mask. And all these new studies on mask efficiency are simply gliding the grant grubbing lily.
I take my off and I let them know I’m fine with them taking theirs off, in fact I recommend it for their health. Not good to be breathing your own CO2 all day long.

When the masks mandates came out in 2020 we had the masks at home. My husband decided to make an experiment.We have this bathroom cleaner that when you spray it in the shower to clean the shower it makes you cough. Well my husband decided that if the masks are suppose to keep out the Covid virus it should work on the bathroom cleaner. So he sprayed it and he started to cough. Well right then we got our answer. If it can’t keep the big droplets of cleaner out how can it keep out the virus. Also it can get in your eyes and infect you. So we never bought into the mask mandates.

Yeah, it never made any sense to me; the surgical masks are designed for bacteria retention, not viruses. Bacteria are approximately 10x the size of a virus. Additionally, when you sneeze or cough into a surgical mask, the outward pressure blasts every virus particle within the mask, out into the enviroment. The 3M company, N-95 mask, properly sized, performs much better. Unfortunately these days the N-95 is made in China. Imagine that! ;)
Read somewhere tobacco smoke about the same size as corona virus. I bet if you wear one near a smoker you will smell the smoke.
Steven Petty who is in charge of hospital PPE demonstrated how cigarette smoke went right through the masks & out the N95, which is meant for protecting the wearer & not others as the air is filtered coming in, but not when you breathe out.
