I have many fine memories of driving coast2coast, border2border hopped up on black coffee and peanut M&Ms, watching those first AV-8Bs dancing on the tarmac at Quantico in the early 80s with a bag of, yes, peanut M&Ms and my Bible, and there’s a half consumed Costco sized tub of 😉 peanut M&Ms in the pantry - I don’t go thru them as I use to, kind’a prefer bars of dark chocolate, and like me this tub is nearing the official use by date. Other than having to deal with the dairy, far as I know I’ve never had inflammatory issues - unlike dark beer which is chock-a-block with purines. Now days my beer cellar sits dark, tea in a variety of hues has replaced coffee (for decades) and my sweet tooth is mostly sated with honey.
Still, Truly, the food scientists who gave us peanut M&Ms, Snickers and Fast Break treats were kissed by the sweet gods.
