I just reread the August edition of Imprimis (a monthly publication put out by Hillsdale College). The name of this edition (Volume 53, Number 8) is: "Our Out-of-Control Federal Law Enforcement Agencies", by Ryan Cleckner. I would provide a link but am now using a different computer & cannot figure out how to provide links. It was easy with my Chromebook, but it was giving me all sorts of other problems. However, you can find all of Hillsdale's Imprimis publications on-line. I recommend this one for an even broader picture of what is going on with these agencies.

I didn't know what to call it, or how to put into words what it felt like~ but the following perfectly describes my experience, and informed me of that individual's level of dysfunction. Needless to say, I immediately 'muted' his account.

It involves the attacker asking relentless and insincere questions or requests for evidence under the guise of civility and a desire for genuine debate. These requests are often tangential or previously addressed and the attacker maintains a pretense of civility and sincerity, while feigning ignorance of the subject matter. Sealioning is aimed at exhausting the patience and goodwill of the target, making them appear unreasonable.

Internet has sped up many of these processes, but the secrecy and manipulation is nothing new. FDR's manipulation of the Japanese through various means for the two years prior to Pearl Harbor is a good example, and Harry Stimson's admission in his diary on Nov 25, 1941 (12 days prior to Pearl Harbor) sums up the objective: “The question was how we should maneuver them [the Japanese] into firing the first shot without allowing too much danger to ourselves.” (I'll bet they never shared that plot with you in public school!) With regard to the Japanese, FDR wrote scathing anti-Japanese and generally anti-Asian pieces for the Macon, Georgia newspaper in the early 1920s, when he was down there for treatment of his polio. He did much more than just "let" Pearl Harbor happen--he actively orchestrated it. That said, the US broke both the naval and diplomatic codes a week or more prior to the attack, and knew not only where but when it was going to happen. FDR specifically withheld that information from US commanders in Hawaii, so they had no time to prepare for it--ensuring maximum damage and loss of life, but from FDR's perspective, the loss of materiel was massive and sufficient to put the US on an immediate production footing to replace and increase military resources. Hitler's subsequent declaration of war against the US was an added benefit, from FDR's economic perspective.
FDR also greatly admired Hitler other than his goal to massively expand Germany through military conquest. They were both great admirers of Margaret Sanger and her eugenics policies, and they had many other commonalities.

Internet has sped up many of these processes, but the secrecy and manipulation is nothing new. This is an excellent contribution towards informing the populace about the problem. There is only one power great enough to overcome the inverted totalitarianism under which we live. That power is a united people. The elite recognize this, which is why political division is so important to them.
Once we recognize the problem, we have to ask what is the solution? The first and only solution to date that is realistic and that has a feasible plan for implementation is described in the book End Politics Now: How to Create the First Practical, Scalable, Truly Democratic Process to Solve the Political Divide, Corruption, and Elite Control by myself, Brent Naseath.
Understanding and raising awareness is the first step. But it doesn't help unless we also understand and offer a practical solution that would result in a better outcome. If we don't share the problem and the solution, no one will.
I prefer a beneficial dictatorship run by someone with excellent judgement skills and empathy. When supported by a council of the wise they will do their best for the people.

I am embarrassed to admit that I only recognized censorship about 2023, although I first experienced it in early 2020. I simply did not expect it, I guess I expected that my government would behave constitutionally. Which it has failed at since 2020, if not before. I thought myself capable of "seeing" censorship, I was wrong.

FDR redefining "fascism" as a "right-wing" ideology during and after WWII was a start--that misdirection is still being instilled in our public school students to this day. I went to elementary school in the early 1960s and can remember articles in the little "newspaper" we got every week (The Weekly Reader) being inaccurate in a couple of areas in which my own family had direct knowledge....and realizing at that early age that journalism might not be trustworthy. Here’s a stunning example. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defined fascism as Mussolini coined it- Government/Corporate coordinated government. And then it was purchased by a corporation and the definition became “ authoritarian, totalitarian ironfisted despotism/ dictatorship.”

With regard to the Japanese, FDR wrote scathing anti-Japanese and generally anti-Asian pieces for the Macon, Georgia newspaper in the early 1920s, when he was down there for treatment of his polio. He was anti-black and anti-Semite as well (and made that clear during his term as Assistant Secretary to the Navy from 1913 to 1920), but I happened to delve deeper into his anti-Asian stances when I was researching my husband's family (all four of his grandparents and two sets of great-grandparents were legal Japanese immigrants, having come between 1900 and 1920. FDR's anti-Asian writings were a part of the push that led to the Johnson-Reed Act of 1924, which closed the door to almost all immigration from Asia from then until the immigration act of 1952 (which opened the door to Asian immigration on a quota system and finally allowed legal Asian immigrants to apply for citizenship, which all four of his grandparents did) and the Immigration Act of 1956 (which did away with the quotas).
He did much more than just "let" Pearl Harbor happen--he actively orchestrated it. His manipulation of Japan started in the early-to-mid 1930s when his New Deal policies were failing miserably, and began as a move to export not just steel but several other raw materials and war materiel in order to generate income into the US. He enabled their empire-building and their military actions against China as they became dominant in the western part of the Pacific Basin, and then began systematically cutting them off in 1939, leaving them over-extended with regard to resources and desperate. This was part of his well-orchestrated scheme to get them to attack the US somewhere--he needed a war to fully reverse the economic failure of the New Deal, and Americans were reluctant to get involved defending their allies against Hitler. His initial plan did not include an attack on a specific location--he just wanted Japan to attack the US somewhere in the Pacific. That said, the US broke both the naval and diplomatic codes a week or more prior to the attack, and knew not only where but when it was going to happen. FDR specifically withheld that information from US commanders in Hawaii, so they had no time to prepare for it--ensuring maximum damage and loss of life, but from FDR's perspective, the loss of materiel was massive and sufficient to put the US on an immediate production footing to replace and increase military resources. Hitler's subsequent declaration of war against the US was an added benefit, from FDR's economic perspective.
FDR also greatly admired Hitler other than his goal to massively expand Germany through military conquest. They were both great admirers of Margaret Sanger and her eugenics policies, and they had many other commonalities.
FDR was a terrible person. One of his notable comments-“ I’m able to say I don’t have a drop of Jewish blood”.
He turned away the St. Louis, filled with Jews who were escaping the Nazis-sending them back to Germany and their certain death.

Heidi, you’re only one of a handful of people I’ve come across in my life aware of FDR’s orchestration of Japan’s attacking Pearl Harbor. My grandfather shared it with me when I was 16 years old. The second person to validate it in near word for word detail as yours was my stepfather. I was 32 years old when my mother remarried. He also enlightened me on much of Dhimmi Carter’s evil.
