Nor should these giant conglomerate providers be allowed to be the monopolies they are 🤷🏼♂️. They have forced the small medical practices to conform or close 🤬
I live in a smallish town of about 60,000 people. An out-of-state mega-hospital company has bought up all of the hospitals and many of the other medical providers in town gaining an effective monopoly. Their care is atrocious and almost worse than no care. We are having lots of people drive the 45-60 minutes to the next town of only around 10,000 for healthcare, because we can't get decent care in our town. The nearest big city is so.ething like 250 miles away.
I wish there was a way to push these money grabbers, who don't care about patients, out of town. We didn't have all of the top specialist, but we still had good care before Banner Health bought everything.
Disappointed that Japan was excluded from the analysis, because they have a higher and healthier life span than all the countries listed. Makes the US system just more disgraceful and we can blame all the Congressman that voted for Obamacare and John McCain who stopped President Trump from fixing the system. That's why he lashed out on McCain.
Agree. But doctors need to take this over. I was once a member of the Harvard Community Health care. Great coverage. Don't know if it still is but a true health care system run by physicians and without the scam of free riding, insanely compensated officers, might work.
The State should not be involved in healthcare delivery.

Exactly!
The mirage of single payer is no guarantee of access to actual care.
Overall longevity is more related to the personal habits of the population than to their access to government controlled funds and "healthcare".
Those who can adapt to this reality with diet and lifestyle changes will be in better health overall.
(Go outside! and get a good diet of meat, veggies and don't forget the weeds, people!)
