Kim I had a similar comment earlier. Ultimately what this tells us is that there really is no checks and balance and that they are going to do whatever ultimately they want. This is the reality of the situation but this is not to fear. Once we know the reality of this situation, we can actually form strategies that actually have a chance of success, especially when we know who the real "bad guys" are:
"They" are going to try. The states can block them if they want. State AGs can parse out all the unconstitutional elements and sue the fed one at a time keeping this mess in courts until Trump is elected and again, hopefully permanently, takes us out of this clown show.
Lee County FL GOP Assembly resolution declares the UN, WHO, and WEF, terrorist organizations and declared cooperation with the three an act of treason against the United States, and the State of Florida. Unfortunately, the Executive Board of the Lee County Republican Party refused to allow the resolution to come up for a vote to the full Executive Committee, which would have likely passed the resolution as well. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/06/un-who-wef-have-just-been-declared-terrorist
Unfortunately, if Lee County RINOs resemble those in Idaho, the RINOs have more money — much, more, often backed by leftist interests — and it’s the RINOs who are doing the hunting. 🦏 🤑 🔪 🐘
That brings up a subject dear to my heart....outlaw out of state money from state politics. My experience is that rinos depend heavily on it. Have exactly same problem here in Texas. Have g. soros pouring $1m into elections here. Needs to stop.
Well, sadly, lots of the money was in-state, mostly corporate interests. And at least one excellent candidate (who WON!) had out of state money from his family and friends, as he had moved to our state a few years ago. We have to be careful what we wish for. Campaign money is a slippery and tricky slope to navigate.
I’m sure there was some of that ZuckerBucks effect.
We also noted possible cross-over voting of Democrats registering as Republicans for the primaries (possibly past the allowable rules deadline, but enforcement and follow-up are expensive). This probably happened throughout the state where stakes were high.
We also saw a trend in the precincts of one county where in-person voting was FOR the conservative and mail-in voting was AGAINST the same conservative. That result was enough to tip the election in favor of the RINO candidate. This apparently was the most expensive election in Idaho history!
The conservative who lost was TOP RANKED by a highly-respected non-profit organization that analyzes bills according to objective metrics and then algorithmically compares those metrics against the legislators’ votes on those bills (see https://index.idahofreedom.org/).
That is happening here. The rino chair of the House just won a runoff by 1% with maybe as much as 9% of his votes from dems. A proposal has been made in the Republican convention to have closed primaries. Should help if they can do it
Idaho has a closed primary for now, but an evil initiative on the November ballot is attempting to create both open primaries and ranked choice voting (see short link https://tinyurl.com/4m8rbbun). I hope people don’t fall for this scam, but voters are not well-informed no matter how hard we work to share good information.
The Idaho Republican Central Committee passed a rule a while back stating that if you changed party affiliation after Dec 31 of the year before a primary, you could not vote in the Republican primary. But, this is very difficult and expensive to enforce and I suspect that happened in this election. So much money was thrown at it. We also have an unfortunate law that allows unaffiliated voters (often Democrats) or just-moved to the state voters to register on Election Day for any party.

I just read a piece the other day in American Spectator all about closed primaries and the pitfalls when they are open, diluting the vote. Groups with cohesive values and goals should be allowed to vote without outsiders diluting their chances to elect chosen people. That is what the party system is all about.
Very sorry to hear that, Shelley. I just passed a revised-for-Idaho version of the FL resolution along to the Resolutions Committee leadership for the Idaho GOP Summer Meeting coming up shortly. I hope it has a better chance of 1) being heard and 2) passing.

Lee county needs to mount a rino hunt

So sorry to hear about the Texas heist ongoing.

Wishing the best of luck with that.
Rambler, I wouldn't be waiting on the RepubliCANT AG's to do anything!
What have they done to stop the rogue rat 🐀 AG's?!?!
They are the best hope we have seems to me so...hope.
